A boom truck is a crane mounted on a truck that also hauls the load. It's often used to set roofing bundles on a roof, lift block or pavers into a backyard, or place smaller trusses and HVAC condensers.
When a boom truck may fit
- Lighter loads within a short to medium reach
- Jobs where the material arrives on the same truck
- Sites with room for the truck and its outriggers near the lift
When a larger crane may be needed
- Heavy units, long beams or long reaches over a house
- Loads that must be set far from where the truck can park
Not sure which you need? Describe the load, its weight and the distance from parking to the set point in the form. The providers will recommend the right equipment.
