Tilt-bed trucks can drop a container on flat, open ground. When the spot is behind a house, over a fence, on a slope or tight between trees, a crane or boom truck can lift it into place instead.
Info that helps providers plan
- Container length (for example 20 ft or 40 ft) and whether it's empty or loaded
- Distance from where a truck can park to the final spot
- Overhead power lines, trees or roof edges near the path
- What the container will sit on: gravel, blocks, a slab or bare ground
- Whether the ground is soft, sloped or recently graded
Before you schedule
- Check with your city, county or HOA about placement rules for storage containers on your lot.
- Clear the setting area and a path for the truck and its outriggers.
- Have the container delivered or staged where the crane can reach it.
Describe the container and the site in the form, and the providers will recommend the right equipment.
